Poetry

Since first creating this site, my time has increasingly been devoted to writing at the expense of regular blogging. My written work includes books of poetry, writings about the sea, and a touch of fiction in the form of an imagined sequel to A Christmas Carol. I have included poems here and there in blog posts but, until now have rarely crossed from one medium to another.

An uncle once told me that poetry is meant to be read aloud, much as music is best heard and not read from notation on a page. With that in mind, I have recorded an audio version of two books of poetry to share here, and hope to add more recordings in time.

While the quality the reading is less than professional, the voice is that of the author, with most of his stumbling and stammering left intact for authenticity and because I can do no better. If you can hear past my flaws, I hope you will enjoy.

The Last Word

After all is said and done, more is said than done.
